We're back!
Lee and I left Antigua this morning at 4am and headed to Guatemala City for our 6:25am flight to Houston and then to New Orleans. We made every leg of the trip, along with our massive entourage of (heavy) bags, arriving in New Orleans around 12:30pm just in time for Sheldon and David's curbside pick up. Lee stayed behind at the airport to catch his 3pm flight back to Houston and then on to Portland. Marie, for her part, stayed in Antigua to meet Liz, arriving today from New Orleans. They've got another week-and-a-half in Guatemala - vacation, not work!
It's been a long, strange trip - but worth every moment. Of course, the production only begins with the field work. Lee has a lot of editing ahead of him, and Marie and Valerie need to work out the finer points of the lessons. Later still, graphic artists and Flash designers will piece the parts together into a completed CD product.
And then we do it all again next year...
