Lusher “FAME” Audition Information
OPEN AUDITIONS FOR LUSHER STUDENTS
GRADES 7-12

Show us what you’ve got! Lusher High School will be holding open auditions for all parts in its fall production of “Fame the Musical”

The show follows a group of talented dancers, singers and actors as they work their way through the Performing Arts High School (P.A.) of New York. Although the story is based on the movie “Fame” the characters are completely different and the music is completely different. There are over a dozen principle parts as well as dozens of ensemble and chorus parts that are open and need to be filled.

American Idol – styled auditions will be held beginning: August 18th
Come prepared to show us your best!
Show your Dance Moves, Singing Voice, Acting Technique; bring your BEST!!!

Audition Material:
Auditions should be short (1 to 2 minutes) and can be a single item below or a combination of items.
Singing --------- Can be anything – Musical theater pieces are preferred
Dance –--------- Any style from break dancing to ballet
Acting –--------- One minute monologue memorized
Musical Performance ---- Instrument of choice

Students cast in the show will perform on Tulane’s Dixon Hall stage for 4 performances starting October 16th, 17th, and 18th.

The “Fame” company rehearsal schedule will be based on individual roles starting August 21st through opening night.

All students auditioning for “Fame” must be in good academic and behavioral standing.
