Admissions for 2010-2011 school year

Lusher Charter School admissions are based on a two-part system. First, our elementary school is situated in the middle of an attendance district. Accordingly, Lusher serves as the neighborhood school for students residing in the attendance district with a timely registration. Second, students throughout New Orleans can apply for the remaining places for admission through a process approved by the Office of Civil Rights. Students enrolled in the fifth grade at the Lower School are admitted to the Middle School. All students new to Lusher for grades 6 through 12 are admitted only through the
community application process.

Applications for admission for 2010-2011 will be accepted between October 1, 2009 and December 4, 2009, 4:00 pm. Late applications are accepted, but are processed only if we have spots available in the grade to which the child has applied.

Completed applications with all documentation attached must be submitted to the Willow Street office at 7315 Willow Street for grades K-5, and to the Freret Street office at 5624 Freret St. for grades 6-12 no later than December 4, 2009 by 4:00 PM. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
