The Lusher Charter School Media Arts Program is proud to announce the
2nd Annual CAMALS (Certificate of ArtistryMedia Arts Lusher School)
Shorts Fest, featuring videos written, produced, edited by, and
starring Lusher students (there are also a number of impressive and
surprising appearances by Lusher faculty and staff). To be held at
the Prytania Theater on Saturday, May 8th and Sunday, May 9thstarting
at 9 a.m. Both days will play the same program; last year’s sell-out
crowd convinced the Prytania to give us two days. On Saturday, come
at 8:30 a.m. dressed in your “Hollywood South best” and walk the red
carpet! Judges from the New Orleans film community will grant awards
in many categories, to be awarded by the stars of the Lusher Theater
Department. Admission is free, but bring money for popcorn, candy,
and drinks, and of course to purchase CAMALS and Traffic Fest
t-shirts, posters, and DVDs—not only will we be selling the CAMALS
DVDs, but also this year’s performances of BatBoy, Steel Magnolias,
the Lusher Spring Dance Concert, and highlights from the Traffic Fest
live event. Hope to see you there!

A note to Elementary School Childrens' Parents: While the program is generally child-friendly, there are a number of films which deal with relatively mature subject matter, so please keep that in mind. Thank you for your understanding.
