Fortier Alumnae
Lusher
Charter School has had the great honor of hosting several groups of
Fortier alums on campus for reunions and tours. If you are interested
in having a tour for your class reunion, please contact Pat
Dover at the Fortier Campus. The Class of 1956 has set up a class
fund to go towards the renovation of the interior courtyard. Please
indicate if your donation is part of the Class of 1956 Fund.
Lusher
would like to thank the members of the class of 1956 for their recent
visit and continued generosity towards their alma mater. Lusher is
honored to carry on the Fortier tradition of excellence at our historic
campus.
The
Fortier Class of 1957 held a reception at the Fortier Campus on November
11, 2007 in honor of their 50th reunion. The members of the class
toured the building and the gym remembering their High School years
at Fortier. Lusher would like to thank the members of the class for
their generous donations to Lusher Charter School.
The Mark A. Ratner Chemistry Laboratory
A Generous Gift by the Ratner Family
Lusher
Charter School is honored to announce a gift by the Ratner family
for the renovation and refurbishment of the Mark A. Ratner Chemistry
Laboratory at the school’s Fortier Campus. The
gift is being made by the Ratner family in honor of their uncle, Dr.
Mark A. Ratner, the Charles E. and Emma H. Morrison Professor in Chemistry
at Northwestern University. Dr. Ratner is widely considered the father
of the field of nanotechnology and molecular electronics. Dr. Ratner’s
spirit of innovation and scholarship will be an inspiration to young
scientists at Lusher as they begin to explore the field to which he
has dedicated his illustrious career.
